Thu 22 — Sun 25 May 8pm Iau 22 — Sul 25 Mai
An epic promenade performance exploring one of Cardiff's new signature city centre buildings, the Atrium, the new home of the University of Glamorgan's Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries. For this latest work featuring music, film, installation and live performance, Moving Being has assembled a cast of over a hundred to reflect upon the changes of a modern capital city, guided by the writings of one of the most influential figures to document the peculiarities of early twentieth century urban life, Walter Benjamin.
"in thousands of eyes, in thousands of objects, the city is reflected... signals flashing from traffic and inconceivable analogies and connections between events are the order of the day... this is the region from where the lyric poetry of Surrealism reports" - Walter Benjamin, ‘One-Way-Street’
Please make your way to the Atrium, Adam Street for the start of the performance (directions can be found at www.glam.ac.uk/visiting)
£10/£8/£6
Early booking is recommended due to limited capacity.
A collaboration between Chapter, CSCCI and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
