Cardiff Storytelling Circle, in collaboration with Beyond The Border Wales International Storytelling Festival, presents a rare chance to catch this master storyteller on a flying visit to the UK!

A Gaelic speaker, Irish Canadian Mike Burns got a lazy start, not having to leave the fireplace in his father’s house to hear stories, making his public debut at a family gathering when he was nine. Burns now has a repertoire of several hundred traditional stories, handed down through the generations, springing from a pure oral fount of tales that intersect and connect into a kind of saga. Mike is a rare presence in an age of fleeting sound bites, short attention spans and mass media; he is also very funny.
