UK/2009/75mins. Dir. Alan Miles
This inspiring documentary tells the story of Jail Guitar Doors, Billy Bragg's independent initiative which provides instruments so music can be used to help rehabilitate prison inmates. The film features performances by 'graduates' from Jail Guitar Doors as well as from many of the artists that have supported the programme including Mick Jones (The Clash) Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) Sam Duckworth (Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly) and Billy Bragg himself.
Billy Bragg is introducing this charity fundraiser and playing a few songs before the screening. He’ll be joined by two graduates of the Jail Guitar Doors initiative and will be answering questions after the film.
Tickets are £10/£8
