Open Call for Submissions

This year will be the 10th anniversary edition of Experimentica, Chapter’s annual live arts festival.

Each year Experimentica presents a programme of performances and events from invited guests in addition to artists selected via an open submission process.

For the last decade Experimentica has been the locus for meetings between emerging and established artists from Wales and internationally providing a supportive yet critical environment for innovation and cross media experimentation.

This year we are also pleased to announce the What's Welsh for 'performance'? / Beth yw 'performance' yn Gymraeg? commission fund (worth £1000) in support of a new work by a Wales-based artist,  to be premiered at the festival. (www.performance-wales.org)

Events will take place across in a wide range of spaces across the Chapter site including black box theatre, rehearsal rooms, cinema and public areas.

Off Site proposals are also welcomed. Chapter is able to provide technical support for the production and exhibition of selected works as well as provide accommodation in Cardiff for the duration of the event.

To be considered for this year's festival please send a written proposal that includes:

• a description of the intended work 
• artists statement outlining specific concerns and interests
• technical requirements and details of most appropriate venue or location
• any supporting materials
• full contact details
