UK/2010/91mins/15. Dir: Robert Heath. With Ralph Brown.
It’s the night of the 1979 Elections and Delroy is the chief suspect in the murder of his pregnant wife. He is interrogated by D.S. Karn, a witty, psychotic racist and his violent sidekick D.C. Wilby. Callous humiliation gives way to a barrage of sinister violence, which leads to a devastating conclusion. Based on a true story, this gripping drama looks at the ‘sus’ law, which allowed an officer to stop and search an individual on suspicions alone, which was withdrawn in 1980.
We hope there will be a Q&A after the screening hosted by Yvonne Connike. Please check our website for details.
