UK Premiere
A chance to see the premiere of the latest group performance by internationally renown Cardiff based choreographer and director Sean Tuan John, with a highly eccentric and entertaining work that fuses theatre, dance and video.
A destitute rabble of homeless ghosts perform a decrepit and sordid cabaret. Armed with a plethora of microphones they dance and rant stories of lost lives and alcoholic days. The DeadHead Show fuses hysterical and dynamic dance with elements of dada cabaret to create an evening of anarchic delight.
It extracts both the banal and the fantastical; where a dark humour and "excessive" acting are mixed with an entertaining dose of quirky, idiosyncratic dance routines. Performed by Bert van Gorp, Jo Shapland, Marega Palser, Sean Tuan John and Sally Marie, with music by the iconoclastic and ironic New York based Stephen Merritt and the psychedelic sounds of Primal Scream.
£7.50/£5
