What is Chapter? Chapter is an Arts Centre in Cardiff and houses 2 cinemas, three theatre spaces, a gallery, two bars and a café as well as rehearsal spaces, artist's studios and office spaces for over 50 tenants.

Chapter is constituted as an educational charity and limited company. Chapter is one of Europe's foremost cultural centres with a reputation for creativity and innovation. Chapter works with international partners from all over the world and is at the forefront of a new awareness of the power of creative industries to lead the regeneration of cities. Our national award winning services and facilities for disabled users are part of our work to widen access to the arts.
When did Chapter open? On April 15th 1971, at precisely 3.45pm the first Board meeting of Cardiff's Chapter Arts centre took place. For more information on Chapter's 30 year history click here.
How many people visit Chapter every year? Chapter sees nearly 750,000 visitors to the centre every year and employs around 110 people. We present over a thousand events and programmes each year.

Concessions The concessionary rate applies to students, over 60s, children, unemployed, disabled people, MAX card, Chapter members and Card holders. Proof of concession will be required.
How do I get to Chapter? Chapter is situated in Canton, behind Cowbridge Road East, between Llandaff Road and Market Road. We are easily accessible from the city centre with our own car park at the rear of the building and by numbers 17, 18 + 31 buses every 5 minutes from Cardiff Central.
