Chapter Gallery has a lively programme of solo and group exhibitions, commissions and touring shows and offers a range of residencies for artists. This is supported through publishing and creating forums for critical reflection via a vibrant programme of talks, events and educational activity.

In addition to our exhibitions programme in the main gallery, Chapter's Visual Arts Department runs a busy programme of contemporary art in the café/bar area called 'Assembly: Art in the Bar'.

The Gallery is open Monday 1-5pm; Tuesday - Sunday 12-8pm. Admission is free. During exhibition changeover, the Gallery is closed but the Shop is open Wednesday - Sunday 12-8pm.

	Stephen Sutcliffe - Shout Out (With El Hombre Trajeado) 9 May 2008 - 18 May 2008 Initially produced for Evil Eye is Source for the Shadazz record label, Shout Out is shot in a US bowling alley with El Hombre Trajeado's soundtrack reversed and played over the alley's internal sound system and noisy crowd enthusiasm. more

	George Barber, Automotive Action Painting 23 May 2008 - 1 June 2008 In Automotive Action Painting a man arrives in a van by the side of a road in the early hours of the morning. He takes out various pots of paint and starts to throw colour on the road. more
	Chapter Gallery Off-Site: Social Spaces 1 July 2008 - 30 April 2009 The Gallery will close in June to begin a major overhaul which includes new walls, lighting, floors and a brand new entrance. Although we won’t be operating in our usual space, we won’t be resting on our laurels and July will see the start of a programme of off-site interventions by four artists. more
