Caerphilly Castle: King Kong (PG)
USA/1933/100mins/PG. Dir: Merian C Cooper, Ernest B. Schoedsack. With Fay Wray
Join us in truly extraordinary settings as we head off to Castell Coch and Caerphilly Castle to continue our programme of site-specific screenings with Cadw and University of South Wales. There may be some warmth to be had in these tales of magic and mayhem but that won’t be enough to stave off the winter chill of these all-but outdoor screenings so please dress warmly.
When a film crew go to a tropical island for an exotic shoot they discover the colossal beast who takes a shine to their blonde film star. In the struggle for survival they must escape the jungle to get back to their base in New York, but is the modern city any safer from Kong? Join us for this special screening of the greatest movie monster of all time.
We aim to open doors 30mins prior to advertised start time, but these times may vary.
Presented as part of Cinema Rediscovered on Tour, a Watershed project with support from BFI awarding funds from The National Lottery.
More information on directions, parking and accessibility can be found on Caerphilly Castle's website.
