Let Love Make a Miracle of this Town
Let love make a miracle of this town fuses film, dance and performance that explores a strange, life affirming and heart-breaking event in a small town in South Wales where the senior citizens of the town are all too briefly rejuvenated and magically re-enlivened through a chemical placed in the drinking water.
Through the reconstruction of key events, candid interviews with characters from the town and a smattering of idiosyncratic dance Sean explores the concepts of ageing and memory by investigating an exhilarating and painful moment in the lives of residents of the town.
Sean Tuan John is a director and performer working in the borders and boundaries between performance, dance and film. He has toured and screened works nationally and internationally since the 1990’s and likes to make work that is funny, disconcerting and a tiny bit excessive.
