Meet Jay Gatsby, a self made millionaire, passionately pursuing the elusive Daisy. Upset by her adulterous husband affair with a local woman, Daisy rekindles her past love affair with Gatsby. Narrator Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island gets caught into their world of obsession, greed and danger epitomising the breath-taking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age that golden age from the end of the WWI until the Wall street crash of the late 1920’s. A time of speed and all things modern, when cars, aeroplanes radios and the movies were all in their infancy and became the new toys of the very rich.
