First Thursday New Poetry and Fiction

Celebrate new poetry and fiction at October’s First Thursday event.

Seren author Maria Donovan will read from her debut novel, The Chicken Soup Murder, a touching meditation on grieving, friendship and the meaning of family. Rebecca Parfitt will read poems from her debut collection, The Days After (Listen Softly London, 2017) and Susie Wild will also read new poetry. Susie is the author of two short story collections and a novella. Better Houses (Parthian, 2017) is her first poetry collection.

After our guest readers we will have the famous Open Mic, and all are welcome to read up to one poem, or one page of prose.

Entry: £2.50 on the door (redeemable against purchase of a book)
