Welcome to our Café Bar!

Our bright and spacious Café Bar has a vibrant atmosphere at all times of the day, seven days a week. It’s the perfect place to enjoy art with your espresso, grab something tasty before a film or just linger with friends over something to share. Fast and free wifi is available and you’re welcome to use our new laptop-friendly area (with lots of plug sockets) as an ad hoc office or for informal meetings.

We’ve got a delicious seasonal menu and have made some great improvements to our spaces including a stylish bar, environmentally friendly lighting and all-gender toilets. Prefer to sit outside? We have a fabulous undercover beer garden with patio heaters to keep you cosy when it gets a little chilly. To keep everyone safe, and to ensure that you have the best possible experience when you visit, we ask you to work with us by following our visitor guidelines here.

In line with Welsh Government legislation, we’ve made a few changes to keep you safe.

Entrance to our building is via the front doors only. Please note that if you’re a Blue Badge holder, there’s plenty of disabled access parking spaces in our front car park on Market Place.

On arrival you’ll need to register for Track & Trace. You can do this at our front desk. A member of our team will take you to your allocated table. Please note that it’s a maximum of 6 people per table.

You must wear a mask until you are seated at your table.

You can order by scanning the QR code on your table, or via a member of our café bar team who will take your order at your seat. Please note that you can no longer order at the counter. We’ll bring your food and drink to the table.

Like many of our colleagues in the hospitality industry, we’re experiencing some shortages in staffing. Whilst we’re doing everything we can to bring you our full menu, our kitchen is closed on Mondays. This is so that we can look after our smaller staff team and prepare for the week ahead to ensure that our food and drink offer is fresh and delicious. Although our kitchen is closed Mondays, we're still serving sweet and savoury pastries, a wide selection of cakes, freshly prepared sandwiches, cold snacks and nibbles, and our usual hot and cold drinks. We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause and hope that this measure is temporary.

 

Opening Times

Sunday – Wednesday 9am – 10pm, Thursday – Saturday 9am - 11pm

Café: Monday – Sunday 9am – 9pm (last food orders 8.30pm, please note our full menu is unavailable on Mondays*)

Bar: Sunday – Wednesday Midday – 10pm, Thursday – Saturday Midday – 11pm

Food serving times are:
• Breakfast: Tuesday – Sunday, 9 – 11.30am
• Lunch: Tuesday – Saturday, 12 – 2.30pm
• Main Menu: Tuesday – Saturday, 12 – 2.30pm & 5 – 8.30pm
• Sunday Lunch: 12 – 4pm

*Although our full menu is unavailable on Mondays, we’re still serving sweet and savoury pastries, a wide selection of cakes, freshly prepared sandwiches, cold snacks and nibbles, and our usual hot and cold drinks. 

 

Finding a table

If you’re visiting our café bar, entrance is via the front doors only. When you arrive, you must register for Track & Trace at our front desk. A member of our team will then take you to your allocated table.

Our staff will be wearing PPE and you must wear a face covering until you are seated at your table (exemptions apply). Hand sanitiser is available throughout the building, and we have an enhanced cleaning regime in place. We have reduced capacity and tables are at least 2m apart. There are socially distanced floor markings to help guide you.

 

Ordering food and drink

 

You can order from your table by following the simple instructions provided. There’s a QR code on each table that takes you to our food and drink menus. You can order and pay via your phone or digital device, and you don’t need to download an app. If you prefer, you can order from your table via a member of staff. Please note that you can no longer order at the counter. Whichever way you choose to place your order, a member of our team will bring your food and drink to the table.

Takeaway

 

Takeaway is available. You’ll still need to register for Track & Trace at our front desk and then a member of our team will guide you to the takeaway area. Where possible, please use contactless payment. Please practice social distancing – our floor markers will help to show you how to keep a safe distance if there’s a small queue for takeaway.

 

Visitor Guidelines

To keep everyone safe, and to ensure that you have the best possible experience when you visit, we ask you to work with us by following our safety measures:

  • Register for Track & Trace
  • Do not enter if you have COVID symptoms
  • Wear a face covering, unless seated at your table
  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Register for Tack and Trace
  • No more than six people per table

 

Café Bar Access

Please note access to the building is via the front entrance only. 

Our Café Bar is located on the ground floor where there is flat access to the building through automatic doors. There are dedicated disabled parking spaces located in the front and rear car parks.

We have all-gender toilets in our Café Bar, alongside gender-specific loos in our Cinema corridor. There are two wheelchair-accessible changing facilities and one Changing Places facility (providing sufficient space and equipment for people who are not able to use the toilet independently) on the ground floor.
