We're so proud of Chapter's Creative Community - from our staff and volunteers to our studio holders, tenants and community gardeners - they make us who we are! We’ve really been missing everyone, so we’ve asked them to let us know what they’ve been doing, making, watching and thinking about.
This week our Cinema Programme Manager, Claire Vaughan gives us a little insight into her life in lockdown:
“I've been keeping up with my Welsh lessons and burying into the Welsh National Archive online to explore the country whilst in lockdown. I'm really lucky to be living in our beautiful city and enjoying the parks and the lack of traffic, but it's sad to not be able to explore the country this summer, so combining this by watching gems like this holiday video from Welsh author Owain Owain (who inspired Gwenno's album Y Dydd Olaf) and took part in some of the Welsh language protests of 1969.
I've really missed watching and talking about films with our audience so I've started @reframedfilm to join in with Watch Parties and recommend films to you all. Last week we watched Eva with legendary Welsh filmmaker Stanley Baker and this week we're seeing Clouds of Sils Maria with the Women Over 50 Film Festival. Every Friday I'm joining in the #FridayFilmClub with friend and filmmaker Carol Morley. It's wonderful to see so many social media posts from people talking about films we're enjoying together even though we're apart. Gofalwch am eich gilydd, pawb!”
