Due to COVID-19, our building is temporarily closed until further notice. We’ll be monitoring updates from Welsh Government and will keep you posted on our plans via our newsletters, website and social media. We look forward to the time when we can welcome you back. Until then, we’re offering our programme online, so keep an eye on What's On. With your support, we can continue to operate and secure our future. Thank you.

December highlights Posted on 14 Dec 2020

Although our doors remain closed until the New Year, we still have a selection of treats and opportunities for you this month...

Available via Chapter Moviemaker, on Chapter Player

Plethu/Weave is a selection of short films from NDCWales and Literature Wales’ cross-art form digital poetry dance collaboration. Since August, eight NDCWales dancers and independent artists have paired with eight Wales-based poets to create short films for audiences online. Inspired by their own stories, location, heritage and connection with Wales, poets and dancers have been creating unique videos about what it means to be part of contemporary Wales. Available to watch through this month's Chapter Moviemaker, on Chapter Player.

Experimentica is a live art festival in Cardiff that commissions and hosts a dynamic programme of live art, performance and interdisciplinary projects and offers a platform for UK and international artists at all stages in their careers, to present experimental work in an open and supportive environment.

We’ll be advertising a call-out for proposals for our 2021 festival in March. In the meantime, we'd like to commission three artists to make new work for our interim ‘Experimentica Presents’ strand.

We’d like to take this opportunity to shine a light on those who helped us through this challenging time by providing emergency funding, to those who allowed us to repurpose their funding, to those who have committed to future support, and to those of you who gave so generously through the Save Chapter campaign.
