ARTES MUNDI 9: LIGHTBOX: Carrie Mae Weems
from 5 Feb
We’re excited to be part of this year’s Artes Mundi programme and we’re busy working behind the scenes to get our exhibition ready for when we can re-open our doors. In the meantime, we're installing a new artwork by Carrie Mae Weems on the front of our building. Presented in the Lightbox are two large-scale billboard pieces from Weems’ recent and ongoing public art campaign, RESIST COVID TAKE 6! These works focus on the global pandemic that continues to affect us all, and in particular its impact on people of colour.
