Film at Chapter 2-15 June Posted on 01 Jun 2023

undefinedWar Pony (15)

To mark Pride Month we have a carefully curated programme of films throughout June celebrating and showcasing LGBTQIA+ talent in cinema! Starting off with Mad About The Boy: The Noël Coward Story and an upcoming Queer MovieMaker callout plus a special introduction from Carlo Cenciarelli from Cardiff University School of Music.

We’re hosting a series of films for BBC Cardiff Singer of the Year, giving you the opportunity to enjoy Cronenberg’s M Butterfly, the biopic of Enrico Caruso in The Great Caruso and finely crafted noir, Gaslight.

We take a look at modern Canadian cinema as part of our Canada Cymru programme by pairing more recent works that represent a new voice that was previously suppressed such as Night Raiders, Last Night and more!

Where does true power lie and how is it used? Tina Satter asks these questions in her latest film Reality and enjoy a 15-minute pre-recorded Q&A before every screening. Find out what happens when people fight back for their country in the Chilean documentary My Imaginary Country and explore the effects of consumer culture on two Oglala Lakota teenagers in War Pony.
