In Conversation with Jon Pountney

Join artist Jon Pountney and Ffotogallery Chair Mathew Talfan for conversations about Waiting for the Light, Chapter’s current Art in the Bar exhibition.

On 13 Feb, artist Jon Pountney will be joined by Mathew Talfan to discuss his photography, art practice and Waiting for the Light as a larger body of work.

About Jon Pountney
Jon Pountney is an artist based in South Wales. His work spans photography, painting, drawing, and filmmaking. He is interested in creating narratives through this imagery; exploring the idea of a 'sense of place' and often creating work that is routed in specific locations or communities.

About Matthew Talfan
Mathew Talfan is an independent branding and communications consultant. In 2019, he was appointed Chair at Ffotogallery and was co-founder of the Cardiff Photomarathon which ran for twelve years between 2004 and 2015. He has worked across the creative industries in Wales with experience that spans design, advertising, broadcasting, the performing and visual arts and higher education.
