We will be back, soon!
Over the last few weeks we’ve been busy preparing to re-open. Whilst we’ve been closed, we’ve also been able to undertake significant improvements to some of our public areas, thanks to support from Arts Council Wales. This includes a stylish bar, more environmentally-friendly lighting, new all-gender toilets on our ground floor, and a dedicated laptop zone (with plenty of plug sockets!) for those of you who need an office away from home.
Last month, over 1500 of you kindly took the time to respond to our visitor survey and your message was clear: you want to return to Chapter when it is safe to do so. We’ve paid close attention to your feedback, and we believe that when we re-open, with your help in observing guidelines, you’ll be returning to a Chapter that is as safe and enjoyable as it can be for all of our community.
We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that, when we re-open, we have excellent systems in place to help you feel confident to return, and our staff have had extensive training to bring you the very best customer service.
Believe us when we say that we are desperate to welcome you back, and to showcase the very best in contemporary art, film, performance, food and drink. We are essentially good to go!
This week, it was our intention to announce the date that we would be opening our doors. The subsequent news of lockdown in Cardiff and it’s bordering counties, changed all of this.
Our priority is to keep you, our community, as safe as possible. We’ve therefore taken the difficult decision to slightly delay re-opening. We remain optimistic that we will re-open before too long and we will let you know as soon as we’re able to.
Thank you for the many kind words and your donations and support over the last six months. They’ve kept us all going and have genuinely enabled us to be ready to open as soon as we can!
We can’t wait to see you soon and, in the meantime, we’re still bringing you an exciting line-up of virtual and real-life events.
Best wishes to you all from the Chapter Team
