Hana Lewis - Film Hub Wales Strategic Manager

Growing up, my local cinema was one of the oldest theatres in Wales and it was my favourite place to watch film. After completing an MPhil in American Film and Literature at the University of Birmingham, I knew that I wanted to help these cinemas to keep their doors open and to encourage people to watch some of the life changing films that I'd been lucky enough to see on the big screen, through working at film festivals like Flatpack and Leeds International.

That's why being Film Hub Wales' Manager is the perfect role for me. I come to an amazing venue (Chapter) every day and work with our lovely members; community cinemas, film societies, festivals and mixed arts centres of all shapes and sizes, who I've come to know over the last five years through my previous post with Ffilm Cymru Wales.

Tell us a secret:

In my spare time, I'm a contemporary folk singer and a volunteer at Cardiff Dogs' Home!

Tell us a joke:

Where does a Rottweiler sit in a cinema? Anywhere it wants to!
