Film Hub Wales -

In a ground-breaking new deal for UK audiences the BFI Film Audience Network (FAN) takes a significant step forward as the BFI names eight lead partners (Film Hubs) appointed to help bring diverse and exciting films and events to audiences right across the UK.

Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff will be leading the Film Hub for Wales and has been awarded up to £800,000 funding over the four-year period (2013-17).

The Film Hub will work closely with the Film Agency for Wales and key venues across Wales to further enhance the offer for audiences, building connections with their extensive film education, archive and film talent programmes to bring more filmmakers, films, Masterclasses and workshops into cinemas across the nation.  Throughout, the offer will be driven by broadening and deepening audience choice and access to film across the Nation, and will be informed by audience data and feedback to tailor the offer.

The other seven organisations leading the Film Hubs are: Watershed, Bristol; Broadway Nottingham and Cambridge Film Trust; Cornerhouse, Manchester; Film London; QFT (Queen’s Film Theatre), Belfast; Regional Screen Scotland; and the University of Brighton.
