Spring, Autumn, Summer, Winter – for Gwangju
This work-in-progress performance attempts to question what spaces can transcend global divisions and displacements. What is a space for talking, or listening? What is movement, how do we see it, how do we hear it? What too is history and the forms we understand as performance? Here a sharing of time with diverse contributions.
Based on an idea and directed by James Tyson.
Performed by Valmai Jones, Mary-Anne Roberts, James Tyson and with the participation of Paul Granjon, Christopher Emmanuel, Brian Mendes, Chae Seung-Un.
Produced with Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff and gratefully acknowledging the support of Arts Council of Wales, Asia Cultural Council, Japan Foundation and Wales Arts International.
