Sprinkles
By Katie Elin-Salt | A new play in development
Dirty Protest
Forget the boring office Christmas parties and feuding family get togethers! Dirty Protest is back for three nights only, with a brand new festive treat, an antidote to all the tinsel and tantrums.
“Sprinkles, there have been murmurings amongst the Santas that your behaviour in the grotto has not been entirely … seasonally appropriate?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve been nothing but jingle bells and joy.”
Sprinkles is an elf. She works in a grotto in the North Pole (well, outside St Davids 2.) Hungover, stuck on double shifts, surrounded by questionable Santas with band aid playing on repeat - she is on a one woman mission to make it out of Christmas alive and get her life back on track. Will she learn from the lessons of the past and finally have a Christmas to remember?
Wales' award-winning new writing company Dirty Protest return to Chapter with this brand-new Christmas monologue in development. From the producers of hit dramas including SUGAR BABY by Alan Harris (★★★★ The Times) and LAST CHRISTMAS by Matthew Bulgo (★★★★★ The Scotsman), SPRINKLES continues Dirty Protest’s annual tradition of alternative Christmas theatrical offerings.
