Join us for a dark gathering of internationalvampire creatives to celebrate one of the world’s most intriguing myths.
Six years ago the vision for IVFAF (aka VampFest) was to bring together creatives from the genres of film, literature, academia and performing arts and fuse these art forms together in the magnificent medieval heart of Transylvania. Since then, the festival has grown and for the last four years it’s been listed by FilmFreeway in their top 100 festivals in the world.
Now, plague and war have driven VampFest from its Transylvanian citadel to the land of the Dracul (Dragon) – Wales. It’s now found a new home at Cardiff’s coolest cinema – Chapter – and the spectacular gothic splendour of nearby Insole Court mansion.
The festival features new movies , including Juliet (Drusilla) Landau’s new film; classic vampire anniversary screenings of Nosferatu and Dracula 72AD introduced by one ofBritain’s best horror movie critics and vampire author Kim Newman; Q&As with filmmakers (including a live video link with Juliet Landau from Hollywood); talks; games; masterclasses and parties.
