We are nationally recognised as the cultural leader for independent cinema in Wales, and we present the best in Welsh, UK and international film.
Alongside our regular screenings, we bring a range of festivals and curated seasons, with talks, Q&As and events aimed at offering our audiences a deeper understanding of the artistic process and the wider film industry.
We’re proud to be the Film Hub for Wales (FHW), one of eight around the UK, formed as part of the BFI Film Audience Network. Through FHW, we bring more films, to more people, in more places across the country.
We believe that cinema is for everyone, and we put access at the heart of what we do. You can watch Captioned Screenings every day, bring your baby along to Carry on Screaming every Friday to enjoy all the new releases in a child-friendly environment, and we host weekly Relaxed Screenings for those who need an environment where movement or noise from the audience is OK.
We support film education, leading the BFI Film Academy in Wales, and we regularly partner with organisations to encourage talent development. This includes our monthly Chapter MovieMaker that looks at ways into industry for young and emerging artists and filmmakers.
