Englishman Nik and his Norwegian wife Maria move to a farm in her homeland’s lush woodlands to live wild and free with their four children. Their goal is to live off-grid in a sustainable way, to forge a new life and imagine a better way of living. But when the family suffers a tragedy, Nik’s resolve to continue the mission is challenged and the old way comes knocking. This honest documentary is a moving and intimate portrait of the endurance of a family and a breath-taking trip into the wilderness to think about different ways of striding this Earth and our responsibilities to the planet and our children.
