The / / Triple—Double / / is the hardest gymnastic skill that only Simone Biles is able to perform.
The performer Luis Amália will attempt a version of it, LIVE ONLINE.
In a multi-layered digital experience merging live performance, archive footage and animation, Triple—Double addresses topical matters about the pressure society puts on our bodies and opens the debate on mental health in sport.
You’ll see Luis embody Bette Davis and Blanche Dubois, while performing as a gymnast, and manifesting a queer soul in a sports broadcast.
It’s funny, it’s mad, it’s electrifying, and did I say it's LIVE?
This project is an experiment in what theatre could become; expanding digital viewing possibilities, mixing forms, enhancing artistic collaborations and increasing access post Covid.
