ART IN THE BAR: Leanne Ross: ALL MY PALS

Leanne Ross’s ‘Shout Out’ paintings playfully celebrate the language of everyday life. She collects phrases and words, to create daily affirmations that exude humour and warmth. ‘ALL MY PALS’ brings together a selection of Leanne’s works, creating a cacophony of conversations amplified by colour. Her practice reminds us that the ways we learn language are communal, and it’s this shared culture that resonates so strongly. Across the walls of our café, a public space where we chat and overhear, these ‘Shout Outs’ offer collective moments and a sense of togetherness.

About the artist

Leanne Ross lives and works in Midlothian, Scotland. Her work has been exhibited at Glasgow International and Frieze London. Leanne is part of KMAdotcom (Kiss my Art) – an Artlink supported artist collective that brings together a diverse group of artists in a supportive space which encourages collective and individual creativity.
