Unearth prehistoric treasures and bring them to life in this hands-on stop-motion animation workshop led by lecturer and animator Helen Piercy. Using real, locally sourced fossils, you’ll explore the magic of traditional animation techniques and create your own short film.
In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to make a mini stop-motion film using your smartphone and special techniques. You’ll design and build your own dinosaur characters using natural materials found in your garden, which will be returned to the earth after the workshop.
Whether you’re a first-time filmmaker or an animation enthusiast, this workshop is designed to be fun and accessible for all skill levels.
Ideal for ages six and up, this family-friendly activity welcomes grown-ups too, with no upper age limit. Each family will need a smartphone, and details of the required app will be provided upon booking.
Please let us know any access provision that would make it easier for you to attend the event, such as BSL interpretation.
Included in CAW Pass.
