Revisit the cult classic Welsh fantasy The Princess and the Goblin with a rare showing on the big screen - yn Gymraeg!

While playing in the woods, Princess Irene is attacked by goblins. A warrior named Curty saves her. When the goblins attack the kingdom and capture Curty, Irene must use magic to save them.

Following the screening we will be joined by several members of the original crew including Producer Robin Lyons, Storyboard Artist Rick Villeneuve and Writer Andrew Offiler.

They will take us behind the scenes of creating a hand-drawn animated feature film in the early 90s, the international collaboration with Hungary and the legacy of the film on Welsh animation, hosted by Welsh animator and director Efa Blosse-Mason and Hungarian illustrator and designer Gabi Balla.

Original animation cels, hand-drawn concept art and oil paintings from The Princess and the Goblin will also be displayed at the Weekender exhibition.

Content notes: Mild threat, mild violence.

Included in CAW Pass.
