From director Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) CONCLAVE follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – selecting a new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy and discovers a secret that could shake the very foundation of The Church.

To mark World Aids Day we are playing a short film called La Mamma Morta produced by Welsh National Opera (WNO) before each showing of Conclave.

Statement from WNO:

"This year, Welsh National Opera commemorates World AIDS Day with the release of the third instalment in our Three Letters project – an extraordinary rendition of La mamma morta from the opera Andrea Chénier.

The Three Letters project launched in 2021 and saw the Company work in collaboration with Fast Track Cymru to raise awareness and tackle stigma surrounding HIV, while supporting Cardiff’s ambitious journey towards zero HIV transmissions by 2030."
