In the town of Deerfield, Washington FBI Agent Chester Desmond disappears whilst hunting for the murderer of Teresa Banks. A year later, teenager Laura Palmer leads a double life in Twin Peaks, Washington, battling against her inevitable fate. An illuminating, lore-infested prequel to the Twin Peaks series, with David Lynch going down a darker, harder-edged road in film than TV had allowed. The film was reviled by critics upon release, but with hindsight has been reassessed as one of the masterpieces of Lynch’s career.
