Wed 21 - Thu 22 August
In the suburbs of London in 1987, sensitive British teenager Javed writes poetry to escape his intolerant hometown and inflexible father. When a friend introduces him to the music of Bruce Springsteen, he finds a cathartic outlet for his dreams and the courage to express himself. An exuberant, evocative and charming film based on the life of journalist Sarfraz Manzoor and his youthful obsession with The Boss from the director of Bend It Like Beckham.
