At the start of the pandemic, an indulgent and self-deluded livestreaming musician abandons LA for London, steals her ex-band mate’s car, and makes the wrong decision to give a ride to an elderly woman who’s not what she seems. Shot mainly on mobile phones, the director of zoom-horror Host takes us on another lo-fi thrill ride, inspired by the creep of new technology into our lives, and imagines what happens when they bear witness to some of the oldest horrors imaginable.
