Having found God, young nurse Maud is dedicated to her spiritual devotion. Landing a job as a full-time private carer, she arrives at the plush home of former dancer Amanda, now frail from chronic illness. With Amanda’s taste for excess, the two are quite mismatched, but they develop a brittle bond of co-dependency, until a chance encounter with a former colleague hints to a dark past and it becomes clear that there is more to Maud than meets the eye. A wickedly playful, insidiously creepy gothic horror with the two leads enjoying a palpable chemistry, and featuring a star-making turn from the astonishing Morfydd Clark.
