After being fostered in rural Lincolnshire, Femi is abruptly collected by his Nigerian birth-mother and moved to a deprived, diverse area of inner-city London, leading to a profound shift in his sense of self. He struggles with what it means to be a young black man in the capital city and must confront his past in order to decide which path to adulthood he will take. Offering a compelling study of Britishness and black masculinity, this semi-autobiographical film is dreamlike and evocative.
