When Czech artist Barbora Kysilkova’s paintings were stolen and not recovered, she decided to attend the trial in an effort to track down her work. Deeply affected by the testimony of thief Karl-Bertil Nordland she embarked on a rather unusual form of restorative justice: to paint his portrait. A fascinating documentary exploring this unique experiment in creativity, compassion and vulnerability.
