A teacher tries to clear his name after a string of murders takes place in one of the most celebrated masterpieces of giallo, combining the tropes of traditional Italian crime with the then-emerging gory slasher sub-genre of horror. Director Massimo Dallamano, (who had previously worked as Sergio Leone’s cinematographer) creates a stylish and grotesque thriller, soundtracked by Italian master Ennio Morricone.
