Go Faster Stripe Comedy: Rob Kemp

Go Faster Stripe Comedy: Rob Kemp

Sat 1 April

A storytelling/stand-up comedy show, Agenda is about the shame of being a bloke who wants to wear a dress, by a bloke wearing a dress.

Frightened that he’d be rejected by his loved ones and other people that he cares slightly less about, it’s taken comedian Rob Kemp a long time to understand and overcome the outdated attitudes to clothing and gender expectations he grew up with. On seeing a Mario-themed stag-do, and a stag that was dressed as Princess Peach, he wondered: “What’s meant to be inherently funny about a man dressed like a woman?”

Fed up of being a punchline, award-winning trans comedian, Rob Kemp wants to tell you a personal story about shame, identity, gender expectations, and being true to yourself.

Expect sequins and reference to the movies of John Carpenter.

Please note this performance will be filmed.
