Ify Iwobi: History Tour

Ify Iwobi is embarking on her History tour around Wales and beyond. The tour features a ten-piece suite who will accompany her on tracks from her latest album ‘Better Than That’. There’s also plenty of surprise guests along the way, for an experience you won’t want to miss! 

Ify composed and co-produced all tracks on this album, featuring vocalists from Wales, England, Europe, Nigeria and America. The History experience promises to mesmerise and thrill audiences with memorable musical works. 

Ify Iwobi is a pianist/composer and a BBC Radio Welsh A-List Artist. She studied Music Performance at Brunel University in Uxbridge. Ify has performed around Wales in Wales Millennium Centre, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, National Museums of Wales for example and has held recitals in London, Nigeria and Ohio. Ify composes and co-produces her own original works with featured vocalists. Releases have included ‘Flying High,’ her album ‘Illuminate,’ EP ‘Bossin’ It,’ ‘Solo’ (ft Luna Lie Lot) ‘We Won’t Forget’ (ft Black History Wales Artists) and ‘Ambition’ (ft Anwar Siziba). Two of her ‘Bossin’ It’ EP tracks ‘Love Rapsody’ (ft Anwar Siziba) and ‘Thinking About You’ (ft Jinmi Abduls) have been A-Listed on BBC Radio Wales. ‘Solo’ (ft Luna Lie Lot) has also been A-Listed, including ‘Ambition’ (ft Anwar Siziba) ‘Rise’ (ft B-LAKE) and ‘History’ (ft B-LAKE).

Awards include: 2022: BBC Radio Wales A-List Artist; 2021: Musician’s Union Bread and Roses Award: CO-VID 19 Track; 2021: BBC Radio Wales A-List Artist; 2020: BBC Radio Wales A-List Artist; 2019: All Wales Ethnic Minority Welsh Women’s Achievement Award for Arts and Music.
