It is 1972 and Geoff, a young, ambitious American live TV producer striving to prove himself to his boss as he heads up the team broadcasting the Olympics. Together with his team including Marvin and German translator Marianne, he finds himself suddenly and unexpectedly at the helm of rolling news coverage of a hostage situation. As narratives shift, time ticks away and conflicting rumours spread with hostages’ lives hanging in the balance Geoff must grapple with tough decisions and confront his moral compass. Through the lens, this is a tense look at the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, and a decisive moment that changed media coverage and the political landscape forever.
