The Justice For The Cardiff 5 Campaign is proud to host the launch of Ceri Jackson’s new book, The Boy From Tiger Bay: A True Story of Murder, Betrayal, and a Fight for Justice.
In 1988, the murder of Lynette White shocked the people of Cardiff and beyond. What unfolded over the following years exposed a police and criminal justice system more concerned with getting a conviction than with punishing the perpetrators and protecting the innocent.
The book is an explosive true-crime narrative that exposes one of the UK’s most infamous murder investigations — a story of racial injustice and the enduring fight to bring the truth to light.
Come along to meet writer Ceri and John Actie – a central figure in this story – and to find out more about the ongoing campaign for truth and justice.
Praise for Ceri’s book:
“An engrossing, page-turning read that forensically chronicles a miscarriage of justice that devastated the lives of the five accused. Jackson’s research is meticulous and the story grips like a thriller.” Sarah Ward
“Raw, shocking and powerful.” Cheryl Rees-Price
“Read it and rage.” Paul Burston
