Kristofer lives alone in Iceland after the death of his wife some time ago. His days are sparse and interspersed with visits from his daughter. Reflecting on his life he decides to take stock of his life, which leads him on a journey of a lifetime, travelling to London and Japan to try and find a lost love. With alternating timelines, we see the young Kristofer meeting Miko and the older man facing a daunting journey in this deeply romantic and absorbing quest for love before time runs out.
