Living in the lush coastal town of Watamu, young Aisha dreams of going to Europe and becoming an actress. Her plan is to find a job on a fishing boat so she can sail to Europe, but her mother thinks that fishing should be left to men. When she meets a fisherman Hassan he promises to teach her to fish and plants in her a seed of hope. An impressive cast lead this beautifully made drama about daring to swim against the tide.
