Before she becomes Cruella de Vil, teenage Estella has a dream. She wishes to become a fashion designer, having been gifted with talent, innovation, and ambition all in equal measure. But life seems intent on making sure her dreams never come true!
We’ll warm up by looking at themes from the film, Dalmatians, spots, colour palettes and the fabrics used in the costumes.
Watch the film and learn the basics of fashion illustration from Beth who’s a former senior fashion lecturer and fashion illustration author, so you’ll be in excellent company!
After the film we’ll study Cruella’s designs and will focus on illustrating some of the wonderful costumes created for this Disney fashion spectacular. Every participant will take home a series of fashion sketches and illustrations, created with watercolour, inks, fine-liners and pen.
This workshop is suitable for children and young people aged 9-18 years.
