April highlights

April brings a vibrant mix of work inviting us to explore storytelling in all its forms.

In the gallery, Imogen Stidworthy: In a thread of air creates a rich sonic-somatic landscape shaped by different ways of voicing and being. Join us for group screening sessions of the exhibition, including a short introduction and an informal reflection over tea and coffee.

On stage, we’re diving into genre-defying performance. Carys Eleri: Tonguing offers a playful collision of science, comedy and music. Joelle Taylor: Maryville, invites you on a powerful and poetic journey through 50 years of lesbian counterculture. And, French bagpipe player Erwan Keravec presents his new solo album Whitewater, a personal work and return to his roots.

On screen, don't miss a special preview of The Rose of Nevada, followed by a Q&A with director Mark Jenkin, bringing his distinctive, atmospheric storytelling to our cinema. Cardiff Animation Festival returns with four days of animated magic, packed with shorts, features, workshops and playful discoveries for audiences to explore.
