Chapter’s November Highlights

  • Published:

We’re warming up for winter with an exciting programme before Christmas arrives.

In our cinemas we welcome back the wxman-led film festival Doc’n Roll who champion marginalised voices in the music industry, with a special Q&A for Free Party: A Folk History.

BFI’s Powell & Pressburger continues into the winter with specially curated strands celebrating themes of Sex and Spirituality, with a post-screen talk from So Mayer on Queer sexuality that was pervasive in their work.

Our Reciprocal Gestures: a season of movement and dance performance programme aligns with the Powell & Pressburger film season, showcasing the theme of dance as art. This month celebrate the art of karaoke in Empty Orchestra, and Sit. Still with Good News From The Future who present their new work-in progress developed during their Sunday sessions in the building.

Join Performance Artist in Residence Anushiye Yarnell for two new iterations of the ongoing series, Marathon of Intimacies - a performance exploring choreographies in conversation.

We celebrate Welsh Ballroom culture with the Welsh Ballroom Community who bring to us, Nosweithia Vogue.

Artes Mundi’s 10th instalment has taken over our Gallery, Art in the Bar and Lightbox spaces, where you’ll find works by international contemporary visual artists: Naomi Rincón Gallardo, Taloi Havini and Carolina Caycedo, with special screenings from Nguyễn Trinh Thi in our Cinema coming soon.
