Films at Chapter 20 – 26 March

Lives at a turning point take centre stage on our screens this week.

La Grazia follows the President of Italy facing a profound moral crossroads, while Midwinter Break sees a retired couple confronting long-buried truths during a quiet trip away.

Elsewhere, stories of reputation and reinvention unfold in other ways. Broken English offers an unconventional portrait of icon and artist Marianne Faithfull, while Dead Man’s Wire revisits a shocking 1977 hostage situation with darkly comic flair.

We’re also hosting Rîl Cymru, a BSL-led programme of workshops, masterclasses and screenings with Deaf Gwdihŵ supporting Deaf and hard of hearing filmmakers on the journey toward feature-level storytelling.
