Set in a dystopian future of a second American Civil War we find Lee, a disillusioned photo-journalist hoping to make it from New York City to Washington D.C. to document the fall of the capital to the “Western Forces”, an alliance between California and Texas. Lee is joined on her mission by her mentor Sammy, inexperienced Jesse and erratic Joel and the four make their way through the warzone as rival forces close in.
