Guru Live Cymru is our series of events for emerging creative talent in Cardiff.

From concept to screen with Kayleigh Llewellyn and Nathaniel Price. Hosted by Rhys Edwards.

This session will focus on securing your first break, key elements to success and insights on how you approach the craft of writing for TV.

Kayleigh Llewellyn is a BAFTA award winning writer and was named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit in 2019. Kayleigh is the creator of critically acclaimed series In My Skin, other writing credits include Chloe and Killing Eve. Kayleigh is now adapting Rosa Rankin-Gee’s novel, Dreamland into a six part drama series for BBC One. Kayleigh is also adapting Jen Beagin’s Big Swiss, for HBO, A24 and Adam McKay's HyperObject, she is serving as an executive producer across both projects.

Nathaniel Price is a writer for film, television, theatre and radio. In 2017 Nathaniel was identified as a star of the future in BBC’s New Talent Hotlist. Since then Nathaniel has written for BBC1 drama Noughts & Crosses, Sky’s Tin Star II & III and BBC’s The Outlaws S2 and S3. Nathaniel’s eight part adaptation of Bernardine Evaristo’s novel Mr Loverman for Fable Pictures/BBC, is set to be released in 2024.
